HIS 210 - The Modern World

This course joins a study of the history of the modern world with students’ understanding of their place is the contemporary world. Competing histories of the modern world’s origins are followed by a comparative study of western and non-western societies and the forces giving rise to modernism, reaction, revolution, and postmodern tendencies from the thirteenth century to the present times.
