BIO 234 - Human Disease Min Credits: 3
A study of alterations in homeostasis, alterations in cellular function as well as pathophysiology of common disorders of the human nervous, muscular, skeletal, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, excretory, digestive, and reproductive systems. Special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between the normal physiology and the physiological basis of the disease process. Case studies are used to interpret clinical information, diagnostic tests, signs and symptoms relating to mechanisms of disease. Intended for students in or aspiring to various health professions including nursing. Transfer Assurance Guide (TAG) approved effective spring 2023 (OHL019 - Human Diseases).
